A White House official says special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner have departed Islamabad, Pakistan after they and Vice President JD Vance failed to secure a peace agreement with Iran.

U.S. forces will begin implementing a maritime blockade of Iranian ports on Monday, according to a statement from U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM).

In a post on X, CENTCOM said the operation will start on April 13 at 10 a.m. ET, following a proclamation issued by the president.

미 중부사령부는 X에 게시 한 글에서 대통령의 선포에 따라 이번 작전이 4월 13일 오전 10시(미국 동부시간)에 시작될 것이라고 밝혔습니다.

성명에 따르면 "미국 중부사령부(CENTCOM) 병력은 이란 항구를 드나드는 모든 해상 교통에 대한 봉쇄를 시행하기 시작할 것"이라고 밝혔습니다.

미 중부사령부는 "이번 봉쇄는 아라비아만과 오만만에 있는 모든 이란 항구를 포함하여 이란 항구 및 연안 지역에 출입하는 모든 국가의 선박에 대해 공평하게 시행될 것"이라고 밝혔다.

동시에 사령부는 미군이 호르무즈 해협을 통과하는 선박이 이란 외 항구를 오가는 경우 항행의 자유를 방해하지 않을 것이라고 밝혔습니다.

중부사령부는 또한 해당 지역에서 운항하는 선박들에게 공식 항해 경보 방송을 모니터링하고 오만만과 호르무즈 해협 접근로를 통과하는 동안 함교 간 통신 채널 16번을 통해 미 해군에 연락할 것을 권고하는 지침을 발표했습니다.
