An Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) gunboat fired on a container ship near the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday morning without issuing any radio warning, causing heavy damage to the vessel's bridge, the U.K. Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) center reported.

Iran's Tasnim News Agency said the IRGC had "enforced maritime law" on a vessel that "ignored repeated warnings," and as the IRGC issued an anniversary statement vowing it was ready to deliver "crushing blows beyond the enemy's imagination" in any new round of military conflict.

이란 혁명수비대(IRGC)가 호르무즈 해협을 통과하는 화물선을 공격했다는 보고가 나왔다.

22일 영국 해사무역기구(UKMTO)는 이날 오만 북동쪽 15해리 해상에서 IRGC 고속정이 화물선을 사격했다고 보고했다. IRGC는 사전 경고없이 공격을 가한 것으로 전해졌다. 해당 화물선 선장은 포격으로 조타실, 선교에 심각한 손상이 가해졌다고 보고했다.

해당 선박은 화재가 발생하지 않았으며, 승무원 전원은 무사한 것으로 알려졌다.
