Two critically important oil pipelines that bypass the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz have been thrust into the global spotlight as the Iran war drags on.

Saudi Arabia’s East-West pipeline and the UAE’s Abu Dhabi Crude Oil Pipeline (ADCOP), or Habshan–Fujairah pipeline, are thought to be able to help partially offset the Strait of Hormuz blockage.

The risk of infrastructure damage threatens to limit total capacity estimates for these pipelines, however.
