Immigration raid carried out overnight on Chicago's South Side amid troop deployment concerns

A federal immigration raid occurred Tuesday morning on Chicago’s South Side, resulting in more than a dozen arrests.

Neighbors reported that at least two dozen people, including children, were arrested, local activists said.

Meanwhile, Gov. JB Pritzker said the Department of Homeland Security is seeking to send troops to protect ICE agents.

화요일 아침 시카고 사우스사이드에서 연방 이민 단속이 실시되어 12명 이상이 체포되었습니다.

지역 활동가들은 이웃 주민들이 어린이를 포함해 최소 20여 명이 체포됐다고 전했다.

한편, JB 프리츠커 주지사는 국토안보부가 ICE 요원을 보호하기 위해 군대를 파견할 것을 추진하고 있다고 밝혔습니다
