The Premio Paganini announces the 24 finalists

The 58th International Violin Competition “Premio Paganini” reaches one of its most exciting moments with the announcement of the 24 talented violinists selected for the final rounds, to be held in Genoa from October 14 to 26, 2025.

A record number of nine violinists have been admitted directly, having recently won first, second, or third prizes in competitions affiliated with the World Federation of International Music Competitions (WFIMC). The remaining fifteen candidates earned their place through a highly competitive live preselection process held between April and May in five cities: Genoa, Guangzhou, Seoul, New York, and Berlin.

Here is the list of the 24 finalists -13 women and 11 men - with an average age of 22.3 years. The youngest participant is just 15 years old:

김현서, 15세로 최연소 결선 진출자

​

제58회 프레미오 파가니니 바이올린 콩쿠르 2025년 10월 14일부터 26일까지 이탈리아 제노바에서 개최. 1등상은 17세의 중국 바이올리니스트 장아오저에게 수여되었습니다.

최고상 수상자

​

1등: 장 아오제(중국)는 3만 유로의 상금과 파가니니 협주곡 최우수 연주에 수여되는 폰다치오네 팔라비치노 상을 수상했습니다. 장은 갈라 콘서트에서 파가니니의 "일 캐논" 바이올린을 연주했습니다.

2등: 리노 요시모토(일본)가 20,000유로를 수상했습니다.

3등: 김현서(한국)에게 1만 유로(약 1,000만원)의 상금이 수여되었습니다. 15세로 최연소 결선 진출자인 김현서는 최연소 결선 진출자이자 관객의 사랑을 받는 인물로 선정되어 상도 수상했습니다.

대회 세부 정보

마지막 라운드는 제노바의 테아트로 카를로 펠리체에서 열렸습니다.

결선 진출자들은 파가니니의 바이올린 협주곡 1번과 또 다른 협주곡을 연주했습니다.

배심원단은 우토 우기가 의장을 맡았습니다.

사전 선발은 제노바, 광저우, 서울, 뉴욕, 베를린 등 여러 도시에서 실시되었습니다
